Māori gods are vital in the story of creation known to us as the separation of Rangi and Papa. These gods have numerous amounts of tales, some positive and some not. Some wanted their parents separated and some didn’t. This exhibition will express the whakaaro of takitahi or individualism. Through each Atua had their own domains and traits, just like us a humans. As mental health is such a big kaupapa these days, especially for us as Māori I think it's important to relate to our Purakau that were passed down by our Tipuna.
