Zonta Club of Wellington Science Award

This is the 18th biennial award of the Zonta Science Award, which was established in 1990 to further the status of women in scientific fields. The award is for an emerging woman scientist — a recent PhD graduate rather than a woman well established in the science field. 

The award aims to:

  • encourage women to pursue a career in science
  • recognise women in scientific fields
  • acknowledge the valuable contribution of women scientists.

The award recipient receives:

  • $20,000 cash to fund travel, education, materials

 and /or activities that will advance her research

 and career

  • a bespoke commemorative medal                                    
  • a certificate of achievement.

 

Come and meet the winner of the Zonta Science Award and join in the celebration of her successful achievement.

The ceremony will be held at The Wellington Club

Level 5, 88 The Terrace Wellington

on May 14 from 5.30 to 6.00pm-7pm

Tickets are $40.00

Nibbles and a complementary drink provided

Cash bar available after the ceremony.
